Saudi Delegation Visits UGPP Office, Islamabad

Islamabad, September 25, 2023. A delegation from the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) visited the "Upscaling Green Pakistan Program" office located at Adventure Complex in Islamabad, Pakistan.


The delegation's visit to Pakistan as part of the Upscaling Green Pakistan Program was met with a warm welcome by the program's staff and Mr. Faiz Ali Khan, the National Project Director representing the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination in Pakistan. During the visit, Mr. Faiz Ali Khan provided a detailed overview of the various initiatives and interventions being carried out under the Upscaling Green Pakistan Program throughout the country. He elaborated the methods being employed, the targets that have been achieved so far, and the future plans for the project.

The fact that the Saudi delegation chose to visit and engage with the program highlights the strong interest and willingness on both sides to turn the longstanding ties between the two countries into a tangible and mutually beneficial economic partnership.
