Under the Prime Minister’s Upscaling Green Pakistan Programme (UGPP), the "Ek Beti, Ek Shajar" campaign was launched at PHAF residential sites on Kuri Road, Islamabad.

Minister of State for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Ms. Shazra Mansab Ali Khan, and Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, inaugurated the drive by planting pine saplings.

The campaign emphasizes the message that for every daughter, sister, and mother, a tree should be planted — symbolizing both their value in society and the country’s collective responsibility toward environmental protection.

Officials from the Ministry of Climate Change, the Ministry of Housing, Upscaling Green Pakistan Programme (UGPP), and members of the local community actively participated by planting trees alongside the ministers.

The initiative aims not only to raise awareness but also to take practical steps to combat climate change, reduce pollution, and build a greener, safer, and sustainable Pakistan for future generations.
