Minister Shizra Mansab Leads Sapling Plantation in Swat

On 20th August 2025, Minister of State for Climate Change, Shizra Mansab Ali Khan, along with Aisha Moriani, Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination (MoCC&EC), planted saplings in Swat after visiting the flood-affected areas.

The plantation activity was organized as a symbol of hope and resilience in the wake of the devastating floods that impacted communities in the region. It also reinforced the government’s commitment to long-term ecological restoration and disaster risk reduction.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of State highlighted the vital role of forests in mitigating climate change, protecting communities, and reducing the risks of future natural disasters. She emphasized that sustainable forestry and environmental protection are essential to building a greener, safer, and more resilient Pakistan for generations to come.
